Daisy Ridley Sings ‘At The Ballet’ with Anne Hathaway and Barbara Streisand

Is there anything that Daisy Ridley can’t do?  Apparently, when she’s not practicing her killer light saber skills or laying down some awesome rhymes (In the desert, whoop!  In the desert, whoop whoop!!) between filming scenes, she’s singing on legendary performer Barbara Streisand’s new album, Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway.

Barbara Streisand, Anne Hathaway and Daisy Ridley perform a beautiful rendition of At The Ballet from the classic Broadway musical A Chorus Line on Streisand’s new album featuring some of Hollywood’s hottest actors and actresses.  Streisand’s album also features duets with Hugh Jackman, Seth MacFarlane, Chris Pine and much more!

For the song, At The Ballet, Streisand says that she wanted to work with “good actresses who can sing,” citing Anne Hathaway as the perfect casting or the role of Maggie but had another role in mind originally for Ridley.  Streisand says, “I was interviewing Daisy Ridley for Gypsy and I said, ‘Can you sing?’ and she said, ‘Yeah, I can sing’…  I took a chance with Daisy and, it paid off because she wasn’t kidding.  She can sing.”

Ridley said, “I had no experience with recording so to have my first experience recording with Barbara Streisand is pretty insane.  Not only am I working with two Oscar winning actresses, both of those actresses won Oscars for musical films.”

Ridley adds that the experience was “slightly daunting” but, we think she sounds AMAZING.  Check out Daisy Ridley, Anne Hathaway and Barbara Streisand making beautiful music together below:
