Mom Defends ‘Walking Dead’ Inspired Kid Cosplay

On Monday an ADORABLE group of photos were released by Mother Hubbard Photography, who specializes in photographing children. They were dressed as characters from The Walking Dead, and turned creepy into cute.

Some of the photos included the children re-enacting scenes from the show, which included guns, blood and well-death. All in good fun!

Mother Hubbard wrote “DISCLAIMER: SOME PHOTOS MAY BE TOO INTENSE FOR SOME, PROCEED WITH CAUTION,” before posting, of course the innocent shoot did not come without backlash.

In the photo of the disturbing Carol and Lizzie “Look at the flowers scene”, Hubbard went into detail trying to prevent the comments she expected.

The criticisms rolled in on the Facebook and Instagram comments.

”This is absolutely horrible, what if a child sees this and finds Daddy’s gun and also does a “reenactment”. Where is your mind? This is absolutely disgusting and it makes me sick to my stomach.”

One of the kid’s moms, Alana Hubbard of Woodbridge NJ talked to ABC News today. “I don’t understand why it’s gotten so controversial because I didn’t create the scenes, everyone’s seen this before on TV, I would never do something to be negative, or to hurt my business. I’m so happy to see the comments from people saying, ‘This is awesome.’ Or, especially some of the comments that say, ‘I’ve never seen the show before, but you made my day.”
They held a casting call for the children, and all wounds or blood were Photoshopped in. “I would never put other people’s children and my children in harm’s way,” Hubbard said. “We chose not to use the real zombie effects because there were young siblings there too. We didn’t want the kids to be scared. We wanted them to have a good time.”

The photos have gotten over 42,000 views and counting.
