Stephen Amell on a DC ‘Musical’ Crossover Episode

Now that Supergirl has joined DC Comics-based televisiones series on the CW Network, we have been promised a major four-show crossover event. While promoting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, Stephen Amell was asked his opinion on a major ‘musical’ crossover.

“No. I’m out! I’m the first one. I get to draw the line, and I draw the line at musical,” Amell told MTV News. “They have to show me how they’re going to do this magical four-show crossover. It was hard enough when it was two shows and mixing in Legends a little bit. To make it four shows? I’m dumbfounded.”

I agree with Stephen Amell on this one. I absolutely love all four shows, but a musical may be asking for a bit much. I am, however, looking forward to this four-show crossover! Regardless of the storyline, knowing the writing staff for all of the shows, it is going to turn out absolutely amazing. A lot of hard work, but I have a feeling it will all be worth it in the end.

Stephen also stated that he is hoping Season 5 will take the show back to its roots.

“I’ve been thinking a lot about this, and I think the writers have as well,” Amell said. “We had a discussion, and I said, ’Look man. Arrow was set up as a very specific thing, and it’s up to us to do what we do. And what we do, we do better than anyone else on TV.’ Part of the price of success is that we’ve had to introduce other shows. We can always get around new powers and people from other planets, but it is important that when all that dust settles that we are focusing on what we do well.”

Stephen has done a phenomenal job at portraying the character of Oliver Queen (The Green Arrow), and he has gotten much praise from movie experts for his role as Casey Jones in the recently released Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.

“I have a wonderful time playing Oliver, and I owe so much to that role and to that show, but I had a blast playing Casey, simply because he does always seem to be having fun. And he’s an optimist, which is a welcome change.”

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows is now in theaters. Be sure to go out and see it!!!
