Justin Timberlake Drops New Single “Can’t Stop The Feeling”
Justin Timberlake just released his first new song in three years and, it’s already being called the song of the summer!
Timberlake’s new song, Can’t Stop the Feeling, dropped at midnight on May 6th and, within hours, the single roared to number 1 on the real-time Billboard + Twitter Trending 140, leading the list for three hours and remaining in the top 10 for eight hours overall.
The song will be featured in the upcoming DreamWorks movie, Trolls, and the first video for the song features the star-studded movie cast. Anna Kendrick, Gwen Stefani, Icona Pop, Ron Funches, James Corden, Kunal Nayyar and more all rock out with Timberlake to the super poppy and upbeat tune.
So, does this new song mean there is also a new album on the way? Yes, it does!!
In an interview with Carson Daly, Timberlake confirmed there is more new music in the works and possibly hinted that his home, Memphis, may be an influence for some of the upcoming tunes:
“I don’t know exactly when I’m going to put it out, but yeah, I’m definitely working on a new album…. Growing up in Tennessee, very central of the country, Memphis is known as being the birthplace of rock and roll, but also the home of the blues but, Nashville’s right down the street so there’s a lot of country music.”
Timberlake made some noise in the country music genre after his amazing collaborative performance with Chris Stapleton on the CMAs. Additionally, he has posted some pics to social media which have led fans to believe he may be working with Little Big Town, Pharrell and Timbaland.
