Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is set to open July 30 in the West End’s Palace Theatre. The play follows Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley and their kids 19 years after the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, picking up after the epilogue.
If the theater is not your scene, don’t worry, the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child book is hitting shelves this summer as well, giving all Potter fans a chance to read the eighth Harry Potter story.
Here’s the official synopsis for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child:
It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his
youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.
