‘Arrow’ Set gets a visit from The Stanley Cup!

With Stephen Amell’s box office debut in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles just a little over a month away, what could possibly be a better way to celebrate his role as a former professional ice hockey player turned vigilante?

After watching this video below, I couldn’t help but allow this huge smile to cross my face! In their final days of filming, the cast and crew of Arrow got to get up close and personal with The Stanley Cup itself!

For hockey fans, the Stanley Cup is not just a trophy, it’s an institutional honor. The Stanley Cup paid a visit to the set of Arrow, where stars Stephen Amell and David Ramsey, along with other crew and special guests, got to see, touch and even take ‘selfies’ with the prized trophy.

While Stephen Amell wasn’t a huge hockey fan growing up in Canada, moving to Los Angeles and getting season tickets with his cousin Robbie certainly changed that!

David Ramsey is also a huge fan of the sport!

“I’m from Detroit originally, we are big hockey fans in the ‘D’ as well,” Ramsey said. “For all hockey fans any
place, to be able to stand next to the Cup and touch the Cup, it’s probably the closest any of us will ever get
to saying, ‘I have the Stanley Cup’.
