Tim Burton’s Works Inspire New Bar in New York City
The first thing that comes to mind when Tim Burton is brought up is probably Johnny Depp, the second would be a quirky sense of the macabre. Not many would think food and drink, unless you are talking about that great scene from Beetlejuice.
Well I guess someone did think of food and drinks when Tim Burton came to mind, Beetle House NYC is opening this week in the East Village of NYC. Their website describes the restaurant as:
BEETLE HOUSE IS A BAR AND RESTAURANT IN THE EAST VILLAGE OF NYC WITH AN ATMOSPHERE AND MENU INSPIRED BY THE WORKS OF TIM BURTON.
OUR FOOD MENU IS ONE OF A KIND, PAYING TRIBUTE TO SOME OF OUR FAVORITE CHARACTERS WHILE PLEASING YOUR MOUTH WITH A FUSION OF AMERICAN COMFORT, LATIN, ITALIAN AND EUROPEAN DISHES.
Some drink choices include:
We come in peace–Stoli salted caramel vodka, Rum chats, cream, caramel swirl salted rim
The headless horseman–Hendricks Gin, Lillet blanc, Cointreau, dash of absinthe, fresh lemon juice. Garnished with an orange peel.
This is Halloween!– Pumpkin Liqueur, cinnamon liqueur, apple liqueur, apple cider, ginger beer, garnished with a lime.
Some of the food choices,
EDWARD BURGER
HANDS.(V)
organic ground bison.organic smoked bacon, pepper jack, quail egg, sriracha cream, avocado tomato, honey garlic bun.
WINGS.
Nightmare. Hot Hot Hot Alice. Sweet Chipotle Violet. Honey bbq Varuca. Salted Honey Garlic
This and many other fun titled dishes and drinks will be served. Due to what I assume will be a high demand the restaurant is reservation only. This isn’t the first restaurant of its kind but with the influence fandom has on culture, it won’t surprise me if we see more fun restaurants like this coming out of the wood work. I would love to eat a banta burger at a Star Wars themed restaurant or some devil’s trap cake at a Supernatural restaurant. Moral of the story if you are not in NYC
like myself you will be missing out on what looks like a fun dinning experience.
