‘Game of Silence’ Explores Childhood Friends and Childhood Trauma
The series that aired this week, revolves around childhood friends grown up, who have to face some bad decision they made when they were kids. Jackson Brooks (David Lyons) stars as a lawyer engaged to his boss, Marina (Claire van der Boom), is the main one who has to put his past behind him.
Part of that past is a period in juvenile detention after he and his underage friends had crashed a car leaving someone dead. The show’s main villain, Ray Carroll (Conor O’Farrell) is the detention ward who was abusive and murderous to those he supervised. He is now running for Congress. Imagine that.
The cast includes some pretty unfamiliar names, including Lyons, Michael Raymond-James, Judah Lewis, Lorenz Tate, Bre Balir, Demetrius Grosse, Conor, O’Farrell, Claire van der Boom, and the young counterparts of the main
players.
The main intrigue is the mystery behind the show that according to many, give it a How To get Away with Murder feel.
I can imagine being grown and having memories with my childhood friends, but pasts like this would haunt us for sure, not to mention seeing our worst enemy succeed in all kinds of insane ways in the public eye.
Game of Silence airs Tuesdays on NBC.
