‘Wonder Woman’ Movie Will Be Dark

One of the highlights for me in Batman V. Superman was Wonder Woman. I just truly loved her in it. Congratulations on Gal Gadot for portraying Diana Prince in such a great way. When the news came out that we were not only getting a Justice League movie, but also a Wonder Woman movie, I was super glad!

As the movie was pretty dark, it seems that the DC universe are pulling the line further from Dawn of Justice. Gal Gadot had a chat with Digital Spy in which she teased the movie that is coming out next year: “In Batman v Superman, you get a glimpse of who she is but not where she comes from. In Wonder Woman, this would be the first time we ever tell the coming-of-age story of how Diana becomes Wonder Woman. It’s very interesting. It has moments of humor, but it’s pretty dark.”

How dark? As dark as Dawn of Justice? Darker? We don’t know yet. She said that it will be a movie that shows from where she comes from, which means the setting is set in World War I, which then again means it will be a dark time itself. I have a feeling it won’t have too much lightness in it.

“We all saw before the beautiful coming of age of Batman, Spider-Man, Superman. We don’t know anything about Wonder Woman,” Gadot said. “We go back 100 years to when she’s more naïve. She’s this young idealist. She’s pure. Very different to the experienced, super-confident, grown-up woman you’ve seen.”

I am super thrilled we are getting a Wonder Woman movie and that it’s a story that will explain a lot from where she comes from and how she became the confident woman we saw in Dawn of Justice. She’s been arround for many years and I think that Justice League will learn a lot of her.

Also that she is a female superhero, helps for me. We had some female superheroes coming on the screen on tv shows, but we need them more in movies!

Wonder Woman is set to be released on June 2, 2017. Put it in your calendar, because that is a day you can’t miss! Are you just as excited as me? Tell us about it so we can discus it!
