They’re here and they’re ready to take over Universal Studios!

Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights Adds 'Poltergeist' Maze

Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights has just added a brand new maze from one of the creepiest classic horror films ever, Poltergeist.

The maze is based on the 1982 classic horror film which is pretty much about a haunted house. Directed by Tobe Hooper with producer Steven Spielberg, Poltergeist the film follows the Freeling family as they begin to settle down in their brand new house. Shortly after moving in, their youngest daughter Carol Anne begins acting strangely. She can hear voices in the house and begins talking to entities that her parents can’t see. One night, Carol Anne is abducted by the voices, through the family’s television set and she becomes trapped in a world between the living and the dead. Her parents will stop at nothing to get her back with the help of a local psychic and paranormal expert.

According to the Orlando Informer, the maze will feed off of the family’s race against time in getting out of the creepy world of Halloween Horror Nights.

Check out the teaser video for the Poltergeist maze below.

Poltergeist joins already announced scare zones based on the hit nostalgic Netflix series Stranger Things, the legendary cult horror classics Trick ‘R Treat, and Child’s Play’s Chucky and Killer Klowns from Outer Space and the new terrifying The First Purge maze.

With so much scare action already in store for those brave enough to attend, this year is sure to be one of Universal’s best Halloween Horror Nights!

Halloween Horror Nights will begin on Friday, September 14th in Hollywood and Orlando and on Friday, September 28th in Singapore.
