Tom Cruise and Jimmy Fallon Perform ‘Mission: Impossible’ Mad Libs

If you ever had the pleasure of playing Mad Libs as a kid, then you know how truly hilarious the outcome can be. Mad Libs are basically short stories with keywords or phrases redacted. Without showing them the story or giving them any hints as to what the subject of the story is about, you ask a friend to pick random words that will fill in the blanks from the story. The crazier the word choice, the more hysterical the game becomes. So, when Jimmy Fallon and Tom Cruise decided to play a little round of Mad Libs on The Tonight Show, of course, hilarity ensued.

Cruise was on the show promoting his brand new movie Mission: Impossible – Fallout and Fallon had a little game all set up for him. Cruise was the one choosing the words, and he did a really great job too, with a little help from Jimmy along the way. Once all the blanks were filled in, Cruise and Fallon then proceeded to act out what was supposed to be a very dramatic exchange between secret agents (or should we say Special Director Pollywog and My Little Cookie) aboard a train.

While audiences are used to Fallon cracking up during his scenes from his years on Saturday Night Live, the outcome of their Mad Libs story was so hysterical and ridiculous that even veteran actor Cruise could not keep it together.

Check out the hysterical segment below.

In addition to Cruise, the film stars Henry Cavil, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Sean Harris, Angela Bassett, Vanessa Kirby, Michelle Monaghan, Alec Baldwin, Wes Bentley, and Frederick Schmidt. Christoper McQuarrie is director and producer along with Cruise, Jake Myers and J.J. Abrams. The film is executive produced by David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger.
