I guess I've always had an affinity for the abnormal. While other kids favored fairy tales, superheroes and cartoons growing up, I couldn't get enough of Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone and George A. Romero's Tales from the Darkside. I even subscribed to Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine and my first junior high essay featured the master of macabre himself, Edgar Allan Poe. Stephen King’s ‘The Dark Tower’ to become an Amazon TV Series!

While many critics and King fans claimed the big screen version of The Dark Tower did not meet their expectations, the TV Series will still move forward. Per Deadline, Amazon has picked up the rights to the series, in addition to their huge purchase of an official Lord of the Rings TV Series. Turning The Dark Tower into a TV series would certainly make a lot of sense. The series itself consists of eight different books, which is far too much information and detail to put in a two hour movie....

I think it was last week where I was floating through the interwebs, like I often do, and discovered that Nerdist had posted a column breaking down the best Stephen King movies of all time. My immediate thought was, "Oooooh what fun" followed by "I'm not going to read that". I know, such conflicting thoughts in such rapid succession.
