J.J. Abrams to Write and Direct ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’

Just days after director Colin Trevorrow left his role as director of Star Wars: Episode IX, the production has found its new director.  J.J. Abrams will be returning to a galaxy far, far away and has signed on to write and direct the upcoming film. The news was just announced by StarWars.com.  Abrams previously worked on  Star Wars: The Force Awakens which revived the franchise and which became the third highest grossing film of all time.  Other projects from Abrams involvement include LOST, Star Trek: Into the Darkness, Star Trek: Beyond, Cloverfield, Super 8 and WestWorld....
