Ryan Reynolds and James Gunn Would like to See a Crossover

Crossovers are something that a lot of fans agree on (most of the time). When Taika Waititi wanted Deadpool to be in Thor: Ragnarok, we all concluded that would be an incredible idea.

Deadpool 2 hit the theaters almost two weeks ago, and it’s a hit. Everyone seems to love the sequel. James Gunn even took to Twitter to thank the cast and writers for ‘a great day at the movies.’

It got picked up by the anti-hero himself, Ryan Reynolds, and he thanked James Gunn for his kind words. This tweet, however, made fans squeal like little children, because of course it would be a good idea!

To add fuel to the fire, James Gunn replied with a simple Tweet.

Now, I know we can’t be excited and start saying this is going to happen, but we do know a lot of fans would love to see this come to light! Back in 2017, when Gerry Duggan’s Guardians of the Galaxy #12 comic came out, the cover art (by Rob Reis) teased the moment where Deadpool joined the team with Doctor Strange and Cable by his side. Seeing that we already have Cable (Josh Brolin), it would be a marvelous opportunity to make this crossover happen. The only thing standing in the way of that crossover is the ending of Infinity War. Right now, technically, we don’t have a Doctor Strange, and we barely have any Guardians left.

We are fans of the idea, however, and it doesn’t hurt to dream! Can you imagine the dance-off’s there would be between Deadpool and Starlord? Or the fights between Rocket and Wade, discussing who’ll be the boss? Deadpool would definitely get attacked by Drax for annoying him too much!

Even though there is a lot that doesn’t add up, especially with how Infinity War ended, it would still be awesome.

Do you agree?

Deadpool 2 is in theaters now.
