‘Kingsman 3’ will bring back Colin Firth and Taron Egerton

The next Kingsman film to be released may be a prequel film, but soon after that, Harry and Eggsy will return in Kingsman 3.

Kingsman 3 will bring back Colin Firth and Egerton’s characters in what’s been called “the conclusion of the Harry Hart–Eggsy relationship,” Kingsman director Matthew Vaughn teased. “The next movie is what happens to these characters [after the events of The Golden Circle]. They’re definitely not going to be doing what you’ve seen them do before.”

“The end of this movie [Golden Circle], if you think about it: you have Eggsy’s definitely going to go on a new journey. Galahad, or Harry Hart’s going on a new journey. Tequila’s going on a new journey. Jeff’s (Bridges) going on a new journey, Halle (Berry), the new agent Whiskey, is. The next movie is what happens to these characters. They’re definitely not going to be doing what you’ve seen them do before.”

Vaughn isn’t revealing much about the film, except that we should expect the unexpected.

“People will either freak out in a good way, or freak out in a bad way, but they will freak out,” Vaughn teased. “We’re literally finishing the script off as I speak — but they go on a journey that, if anyone sees it coming, then I’ll give up.”

“I remember very early conversations with Matthew,” added Colin Firth. “He felt that three [movies] would be right for this. He hadn’t got them mapped out, I just think he could feel three.”

As far as other cast announcements go, have we seen the last of Roxy(Sophie Cookson) and Merlin (Mark Strong)? If Harry and the original Agent Whiskey(Pedro Pascal) can come back after “fatal” gunshots to the head, who knows? Speaking of the Statesman, Will agents Tequila ( Channing Tatum), Whiskey (Halle Berry) and Champ (Jeff Bridges) return?

Vaughn is planning on shooting this movie back-to-back with the prequel The King’s Man.

“I’m hoping to shoot [Kingsman 3] later this year or the beginning of next year,”  said Vaughn. “We’ve got to finish off the Eggsy and Harry relationship. The final chapter of their relationship needs to be told.”

The King’s Man will hit theaters February 14, 2020.
