‘Star Wars’ Galaxy’s Edge Looks Insane

I’ve made the adult decision to pack my stuff up and live in Disneyland’s new resort, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The place looks absolutely phenomenal and will encompass a massive 14 acres. 14 acres of Star Wars goodness.

Star Wars fans will be transported to the planet Batuu, located in the Outer Rim. To some, this planet may sound familiar. It was actually introduced in Thrawn: Alliances back in 2017. When they dock, passengers will be free to explore the Black Spire Outpost, originally introduced in Solo, where they will find explorers, smugglers, and traders who want to remain hidden- be careful not to draw too much attention to yourself, you’ll be dealing with some of the most dangerous and suspicious characters in the galaxy.

On the outskirts of the Black Spire Outpost, the Resistance have established a small base where fans may see some familiar faces, including Rey, Finn, Poe, BB-8, and Chewie. As expected with any Star Wars story, the threat of the First Order looms so fans can expect to see Stormtroopers patrolling the area.

So far, two exciting attractions have been announced. Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Rise of the Resistance.

Smugglers Run will allow people to take control of the Millennium Falcon in a daring mission with each person responsible for a unique job. Rise of the Resistance will place fans in an immersive and cinematic battle against the First Order and Kylo Ren. The fight will take place in a starship and aboard a Star Destroyer.

Not only are there Star Wars themed rides but fans can also enjoy Oga’s Cantina, a place where guests can enjoy exotic alcoholic beverages such as Bespin Fizz, Jedi Mind Trick, and Bloody Rancor. If alcohol isn’t your thing, there is no need to worry. There is also a wide assortment of non-alcoholic drinks that can be enjoyed by all- Blue Bantha, Cliff Dweller and Jabba Juice, just to name a few.

Don’t even get me started on the new merchandise. Many new and amazing items will be completely exclusive to Galaxy’s Edge. Fans can expect to find toys, costumes, lightsabers, and a large assortment of collectibles such as Holocrons and statues.

Disney23 have released loads of new images and details about the new park. There is just way too much to cover. You can head over to the website and immerse yourself in the new and exciting things coming to Disney. Here is just a taste of what they cover:
