‘Fear the Walking Dead’ Season 5 Premiere Date Revealed
Just ahead of the Fear the Walking Dead panel at WonderCon, AMC has announced the official premiere date for the upcoming 5th season of the series.
Fear the Walking Dead will return on AMC starting on Sunday, June 2nd at 9 pm EST, and will be followed up by AMC’s highly-anticipated new supernatural horror series NOS4A2, but that’s not the only news the network is dropping this weekend on the series. Later on today, the official season 5 trailer will be revealed during the series panel and will then subsequently be released online as well.
The Fear the Walking Dead WonderCon panel is stacked with the show’s main cast including Lennie James, Colman Domingo, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Danay Garcia, Garret Dillahunt, Maggie Grace, Jenna Elfman, Alexa Niesenson, and appearing for the first time as a Fear cast member, the latest series crossover in The Walking Dead universe, Austin Amelio. Additionally, executive producers and showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg will be present along with executive producer Scott M. Gimple and director Michael Satrazemis.
AMC has also released the season 5 synopsis, and this season, our survivors are on a mission to rebuild society. The official synopsis reads:

With dogged determination, Morgan Jones (James) leads the group with a philosophy rooted in benevolence, community and hope. Each character believes that helping others will allow them to make up for the wrongs of their pasts. But trust won’t be easily earned. Their mission of helping others will be put to the ultimate test when our group finds themselves in unchartered territory, one which will force them to face not just their pasts but also their fears.
