Director Ron Howard Reveals the Official Title for the Young Han Solo Spin-Off Film

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… the young Han Solo spin-off film started to take shape.  It’s been a long and somewhat bumpy road leading up to this point but, the film has finally wrapped its production.

On Tuesday, film director Ron Howard made an announcement via his Twitter page.  Not only did he announce that production had officially wrapped but, he revealed something which fans have been waiting, and waiting, and waiting to hear – the official title of the film.

In Howard’s video, he says, “as we wrap up production, I just wanted to take this moment to thank an incredibly talented cast and crew for all their hard work.  And to the fans out there, I hope you’ve enjoyed the pictures that I’ve been sharing taken from the set of…”  Howard pauses and then turns to someone off camera before asking, “Can we even say the name of the movie?”

At this point, a set of familiar Wookiee arms hands him what looks like a cue card.  Howard looks at the card, smiles and then turns the card around to reveal the film’s title, Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Howard took over the helm of the Han Solo film in June of this year after the unexpected departure of its named directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.  In addition, the film experience some shuffling in casting but moved forward starring, Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson and Paul Bettany.
