Chris Hemsworth and Tiffany Haddish to Star in New Comedy ‘Down Under Cover’
Fresh of his Avengers: Endgame appearance, Chris Hemsworth has found his next big-screen role. The Thor actor will star in an upcoming buddy cop comedy alongside Girs Trip’s Tiffany Haddish titled Down Under Cover.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film “will see Hemsworth play a cop who goes undercover to solve a string of casino heists where a troupe of Australian male erotic dancers are suspected as culprits. Also investigating is a lone wolf detective, played by Haddish, who clashes with her crime-solving partner.” It will be penned by Kevin Can Wait’s Peter Hoare and shopped around at the Cannes Festival.
Hemsworth is soon set to appear alongside his Thor: Ragnarok c0-star Tessa Thompson for the upcoming Men In Black reboot and will also be stepping into the role of wrestling Hulk Hogan for a new biopic. As for Haddish, her brand new animated series Tuca & Bertie is currently streaming on Netflix and she will star alongside Melissa McCarthy and Elisabeth Moss for The Kitchen, which follows the wives of New York gangsters in Hell’s Kitchen in the 1970s.

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
