‘Once Upon A Time’ Recap: ‘Her Handsome Hero’

Once Upon A Time has its moments. It’s a solid show, but I often feel that having such an big ensemble, one that you don’t know what to do with cohesively can become a tad bit problematic in the long run. This week’s episode titled “Her Handsome Hero” (gag me with that title, y’all) touched upon many facets of the Once Upon A Time, I both love and hate. We’ve steered clear from last week’s development and have Emma at the forefront this time around. She has a vision in...

‘The 100’ Recap: ‘Fallen’

The dust has yet to settle in regards to the continuing controversy surrounding The 100, but in the words of Queen, “the show must go on.” And it effortlessly brought it’s A-game with this week’s episode titled “Fallen.” Número nueve was written by Charmaine DeGraté and Javier Grillo-Marxuach, and as much as I (generally) enjoy the overall writing of the show, I have to admit that this was probably the best written episode this season thus far, and had a whole lot of revelations jam-packed into its snug little timeslot....

‘iZombie’ Recap: ‘Reflections of How Liv Used To Be’

Next week is the two-hour season finale of iZombie, and all I can say is… I can’t fricken wait! This recent episode was everything that I’ve been hoping for the last few weeks. Because here’s the thing, when you have a bunch of characters lying to each other about what’s really going on it makes for a borderline boring build up, but when that information starts to leak out and people become in the know--everything becomes oddly satisfying! Let’s attempt to untangle this undead web they’ve so intricately woven. The...

DareDevil ‘The Dark at the End of the Tunnel’ Recap/Review

We have grown so accustomed to our episodes kicking off with DareDevil beating up some nameless criminal. That, or a flashback of Matt's childhood. This time, however, we started off with a flashback of Elektra as a child. In the flashback, she is training under Stick. She nearly kills one of the men she is sparring with, by beating him shamelessly. Had Stick not pulled her off, she would have surely succeeded. I highly appreciated this brief flashback sequence. It gave us just a touch of how Elektra came to...

Better Call Saul “Fifi” Review

Spoilers ahead tread lightly (see what I did there?)... Coming off an episode last week that was mainly focused on Jimmy it was nice to see this weeks episode maintain that direction. If I have any complaints about this season of Better Call Saul it would be how the Jimmy and Mike story lines seem so far apart, and I'm curious to how they're going to tie together. Although I could make the argument that they don't necisarrialy need to tie together. Hear me out, hear me out. In Breaking...

‘Once Upon A Time’ Recap: ‘Our Decay’

Once Upon A Time should just stick with its villains, because quite honestly, they’re the best damn thing about this show. I would watch a spinoff series in a heartbeat. And although I wasn’t originally a fan of Hades, I think that his dynamic with Zelena (yes, she’s back) was the most interesting thing about the entire episode. The entire season, actually. The biggest problem I continue having with the show (and subsequently complaining about) is that it has a crap ton of characters, and it doesn’t do anything with...

DareDevil ‘.380’ Recap/Review

Ninjas scale the hospital, 'The Hands' creepy test subject children are free, and Claire is trapped in the hospital. Talk about not being someone's night! The ninjas break into the hospital, and halt Claire and her small hospital team from rescuing the children. Claire's nurses aid is stabbed through the chest, and just before Claire is about to receive the same fate, Matt shows up. He manages to corner the majority of the ninjas in a room, and begins to fight them all off. One of them kicks Claire out...

Star Wars Rebels: Twilight of the Apprentice

The Force has gotten a lot more...interesting. And for the better. ****Spoiler Warning****   In the Season 2 finale of "Star Wars Rebels," we, the audence are left with a lot of great interplay between the Jedi and "Old Master," lessons on how to be a Sith, and a battle that we have been waiting for since the end of Season 5 of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" concluded with Anakin Skywalker's Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, walked away from the temple. Oh yes, and somehow Maul continues to live on in...

Read. This. Now.- Hawkeye

Hello Geeklings, and welcome to what I'm hoping will be a new column for me over here at Fan Fest. I was recently thinking how to expand the Pull List and talk to you fine people about comics more and then it came to me. Just suggest things to read. This way you guys can hopefully get some ideas for new reading material and I can talk about comic books that I love. It really is a win win situation. #itsthelittlethings I'm thinking that this could be a weekly or...

DareDevil ‘The Man in the Box’ Recap/Review

Detective Sergeant Brett and his partner discover 'The Hands' secret laboratory, where their test subjects are being held. Matt appears to Brett, as the DareDevil and he tells them that the test subjects were being drained for their blood and that they need immediate medical attention. Matt does not reveal that he encountered Nobu, more than likely, because he doesn't fully believe it himself that Nobu somehow survived burning alive. He tells Brett to start off his investigation by looking into the Yakuza. Matt goes and visits Claire, when he...
