Taylor Swift Releases New Song, ‘Christmas Tree Farm’ with Home Footage Music Video
Santa Taylor has delivered her Swifties an early present!
Taylor Swift released a new Christmas song, Christmas Tree Farm, just in time for the Christmas season. Swift also released a music video full of old home movies of her family and the holidays.
Swift grew up on a Christmas tree farm in Pennsylvania. The video shares images from this period in her life. Swift first announced the Christmas song on Good Morning America on Thursday.
“Hey, I know this is pretty wild, but I’ve just written a Christmas song,” Swift said in the video. “I feel like it’s weird to just wait a year to put it out.” She then turned to her cats for their advice on if she should release the song this year or wait until next year, and as you might expect, her kitties were anything but helpful.
Swift also posted the same video to Twitter, saying, “When in doubt, ask the itty bitty pretty kitty committee. When they shun you with silence, ambivalence, and judgmental brush offs… just put the song out anyway. NEW XMAS SONG AND VIDEO (made from home videos ) OUT TONIGHT.”
The music has the sounds of the holidays, with all the bells and upbeat jingles.

This is post P-90x. I’m saying I watched the videos. I’m not saying I participated. Born in my mom’s basement, I’ve stayed there to embody the stereotype. One day I will rise up… to the main floor of the house.
