‘Friends’: Netflix Reveals When Show Is Official Leaving

Earlier this year it was announced that Friends would be leaving the streaming platform in 2020 and now we know when.  Netflix has revealed Friends’ official departure date. According to the series’ streaming page, Friends will be leave on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020.

Don’t worry though! Right now, you can own a prop or other piece of memorabilia from the show. Costumes and props from the iconic television sitcom, Friends, are in auction right now. Prop Store is hosting ‘The Friends Auction’ celebrating the show’s 25th anniversary. The auction will feature some memorable items from the show’s ten seasons.

Recently it was announced that Friends would return to HBO for a reunion special, although not necessarily an actual episode.  The reunion will unite the six cast mates and film them as the discuss the show and its fandom.

Friends ran on NBC for ten seasons, becoming one of the most favored sitcoms of all time. Throughout its ten-year journey, the series went on to receive an unbelievable 62 Emmy nominations, of which it won six. Aniston walked away with Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 2002 and Lisa Kudrow won Outstanding Supporting Actress in 1998. In addition, the series took home the statue for Outstanding Comedy series in 2002.
