‘Friends’ Costumes and Props Headed To Auction
Costumes and props from the iconic television sitcom, Friends, are headed to auction next week. Prop Store is hosting ‘The Friends Auction’ celebrating the show’s 25th anniversary. The auction will feature some memorable items from the show’s ten seasons.
The websites’ page states:
“Prop Store and Warner Bros. Television celebrate 25 years of laughs with an exclusive auction of props, costumes, scripts, a canoe, some turkeys, and more from the production of Friends. Over 80 lots will be available for bidding online, starting December 3rd. Every piece in the auction comes directly from the Warner Bros. Archive with an original Warner Bros. Certificate of Authenticity”
The initial tease image gallery reveals props such as Monica’s Turkey that she wears on her head, Pheobe’s ‘Smelly Cat’ cat litter, Joey’s ‘Superman’ suit, and more.
Prop Store and Warner Bros. are also offer a chance to win a Friends authentic script from the episode, “The One with the Dozen Lasagnas.” There is no purchase necessary and all one needs to do is simply register on the company’s website. Fans will remember this episode as the twelfth episode of the first season, wherein after cooking a dozen lasagnas for Aunt Sylvia, Monica is stuck with them as they were supposed to be vegetarian.
Bidders will have two weeks to place their highest bids on items that will surely be coveted. Who’s the biggest Friends fan? Whoever “pivots” the most with their bids!
