Carrie Underwood Glows In Her ‘American Music Awards’ Acceptance Speech
On Sunday’s American Music Awards, Carrie Underwood captured the Country Album of the Year award. Underwood took the stage to give her speech only to be surprised that she had also won Best Country Female Artist.
Underwood beat out Dan + Shay and Kane Brown for the Country Album of the Year award and Kelsea Ballerini and Maren Morris for Best Country Female Artist.
Underwood said, “Thank you God for the talents you give to people and the gifts you give people and not just what you give to the people who are up to tonight but for every single person. We all have gifts and hopefully we use them to make the world a better chance.”
She continued, “It’s been such a wonderful year,” Underwood added as more tears came on. “Thank you to the fans, you guys support each and every one of of us… I want to thank the AMAs for making this award show fan voted because they’re the ones that matter and the ones that count.”
Underwood has had a storied career and it doesn’t appear she’s slowing down. Awards, hosting, music, and a budding family, she’s everywhere and doing everything.
