The Morning Show is just one of Apple TV+’s new home run series appearing on the newly launched streaming platform. The series stars Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Steve Carrell and explores the cutthroat world of morning news and the lives of the people who help America wake up in the morning. The series is quite captivating and topical following the events of a morning news team after their lead anchor is accused of sexual misconduct. The series is incredibly well done and leaves audiences wanting more after each episode.
On the show’s newest episode, Aniston’s Alex Levy and Crudup’s Cory Ellison have a little bit of fun at a corporate event when the two engage in a Sweeney Todd duet. Who knew Jennifer Aniston could sing so beautifully. Check out the clip below.
The synopsis for the fifth episode titled “No One’s Gonna Harm You, Not While I’m Around,” says, “a looming article threatens to upend the power structure of The Morning Show. Special guest stars include Mindy Kaling, Marcia Gay Harden, Cheyenne Jackson, and Tom Irwin.”
In addition to Aniston, Witherspoon, and Carrell, the series also stars Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Bel Powley, Desean Terry, and Janina Gavankar.
Aniston also executive produces along with Kristin Hahn through Echo Films; Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Levy Neustadter through Hello Sunshine; Michael Ellenberg through Media Res, which also serves as the studio; and Mimi Leder, who also directs. The series is written and executive produced by Kerry Ehrin, who also serves as showrunner. Brian Stelter consults on the project, with his book “Top of the Morning” providing additional background material.
