New ‘The Witcher’ Trailer Confirms Release Date

Save the date. Netflix’s upcoming series, The Witcher, based on the hit novels by Andrzej Sapkowski will arrive on December 20th, just in time for Christmas.

The new trailer surfaced online today and it gives us a better look at the upcoming fantasy series. We get a better look at Henry Cavill who will be playing Geralt and a wider look at the world in which The Witcher takes place.

The trailer gives us a lot of new stuff. We see Geralt deal with bandits, monsters and even the public who fear him.

Fans of the video game series will obviously remember the memorable bath scene, and now you can enjoy it all over again in live action… and with Henry Cavill. 0 complaints here.

If you’re unfamiliar with The Witcher, here is what you can expect:

“Based on the best-selling fantasy series, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.”

The Witcher will be 8 episodes long and stars Cavill as Geralt. The Witcher will also star Freya Allan in the role of Ciri, and Anya Chalotra as Yennefer.

  1. This looks like a great new show, however; I don’t like that once again (as most streaming platforms do), we are limited to a whopping 8 episode season! Really? A whole 8 episodes? Give me a break…over it…

  2. My brother and I just watched The Witcher on Netflix. Have you guys watched it yet? It’s really good. Especially Henry Cavill. I think he plays an excellent Geralt. Honestly tough, I think I like the Mandalorian a little better. I think I might watch them both again lol.
