‘The Walking Dead’ Unveils New Season 10 Character Named Virgil
Last week, AMC introduced us to The Walking Dead’s latest whispering villain in Thora Birch’s Gamma. Now, we’re getting a look at another new character making his way into season 10 – Virgil. Played by Kevin Carroll, Virgil is described as “highly intelligent, resourceful and desperately trying to get home to his family”. It certainly sounds very familiar in the world of The Walking Dead. The only question is, will he be good or bad news for our group of survivors? Check out the first look below!
The explosive season 10 trailer previewed an epic beach battle and based the photos, it looks like that’s exactly where the group will encounter Virgil. Although, getting mixed up with Michonne & Co. may not be the best decision for him as Alpha (Samantha Morton) and The Whisperers are back and ready for war.
Every Thursday, AMC will be revealing something new about The Walking Dead’s milestone 10th season. Last week, they introduced Gamma, The Whisperer’s third in command under Beta (Ryan Hurst). She’s described as “a total Alpha acolyte and believes 200 percent in both the group’s animalistic way of life and in their merciless leader.”
Fans may recognize Carroll from his two-season run on The Leftovers where he played John Murphy. Other credits include ABC’s short-lived drama The Catch, Blindspotting, Velvet Buzzsaw, Lucifer and Sacred Lies and Snowfall. Are you excited to have him join the series?
Be sure to tune into the season premiere of The Walking Dead on Sunday, October 6th on AMC!
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
