SDCC 2019: ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 10 Trailer Has Arrived!

AMC

It’s trailer time for all of you Walking Dead fans! AMC’s zombie drama unveiled the first trailer for season 10 at its Friday afternoon San Diego Comic-Con panel. After wrapping up a highly-reviewed ninth season led by new showrunner Angela Kang, fans were eager to see just what was next for Daryl, Michonne, and the remaining survivors. Plus, with the return of Alpha and the Whisperers, everyone’s safety is at large. The series will return on Sunday, October 6th.

The panel was led by Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick, and included creative team Scott M. Gimple, Angela Kang, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Dave Alpert, and Greg Nicotero, along with cast members Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Avi Nash, Cooper Andrews, Ryan Hurst, Nadia Hilker, Eleanor Matsuura, and Cailey Fleming.

Similar to last season, which saw the exit of Andrew Lincoln, season 10 will also see a huge departure. It was confirmed earlier this year that long-time regular Danai Gurira would be appearing in a limited number of episodes before departing the series. However, her exit does not mean she will be leaving The Walking Dead universe for good. Andrew Lincoln will soon be starring in a trilogy of films that Gurira could somehow make her way over to.
