On the heels of his upcoming limited series at Netflix, Joshua Jackson has signed on to star in another one opposite Academy Award Winner Reese Witherspoon with Hulu’s upcoming limited series Little Fires Everywhere. The series will be adapted from Celeste Ng’s bestselling novel follows “the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic mother and daughter who upend their lives. The story explores the weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, the ferocious pull of motherhood – and the danger in believing that following the rules can avert disaster.”
Reese Witherspoon will be playing the strong-willed Elena Richardson while Jackson will be playing her husband Bill, “an attorney who hails from modest means and agrees to represent family friends in a bitter custody battle.” The series is also set to star Scandal alum Kerry Washington.
Witherspoon shared her excitement about Joshua Jackson’s casting on Twitter to which he replied that he was “so excited to get the chance to work with you again.” The pair starred in 1999’s Cruel Intentions together.

Joshua Jackson has consistently been on television starting with The WB/CW’s Dawson’s Creek, which ran for 128 episodes from 1998 to 2003. He graduated from Dawson’s to star on Fox’s crime drama Fringe, where he played Peter Bishop alongside Anna Torv and John Noble for a solid 100 episodes. Since then he’s starred on Showtime’s The Affair and can soon be seen in Netflix’s upcoming miniseries When They See Us, which follows the Central Park Five.
