Watch the Absolutely Terrifying Final Trailer for ‘Brightburn’

“Evil has found its superhero,” in the upcoming horror flick Brightburn which is set to release in theaters this weekend. The film released its final trailer before its theatrical debut, and this time, the trailer turns up the horror to the max.

Set in a quiet rural town, Brightburn explores what would have happened if a Superman-like being was sent to Earth and turned evil. In the film follows an orphaned alien child and his loving adoptive family. As the child grows, he discovers he has extraordinary powers which he can’t control. Instead of using his powers for good, things take a horrific turn, and he begins wreaking havoc on the town and doing evil and horrible things to those who live there.

While each trailer so far has been dark and creepy, the final trailer is by far the most horror-filled look at the film yet. Check out the terrifying trailer below.

From director David Yarovesky, Brightburn stars Elizabeth Banks, David Denman, Jackson A. Dunn, Matt Jones, and Meredith Hagner. The official synopsis for the film is below:

The film was written by Mark and Brian Gunn. The film is produced by James Gunn and Kenneth Huang with Mark and Brian Gunn, Dan Clifton, Simon Hatt and Nic Crawley serving as executive producers.

In addition to the trailer, a brand new poster for the film also dropped. Check out the poster below.

Brightburn hits theaters this weekend on May 24th.
