First Look At ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’

With the title finally confirmed as Terminator: Dark Fate which was originally its working title back in February, it was only a matter of time before we received some more news concerning the sequel and retcon. Instead of being a traditional sequel, this film is actually a direct sequel to Judgement Day and will completely ignore and discard the events of the other three films.

You can’t blame them for retconning the franchise, especially when Linda Hamilton says that the previous three Terminator movies: Rise of the Machines, Salvation, and Genisys, were very forgettable. Harsh, but true. In fact, all three averaged at $275 million at the box office and did pretty poorly with both critics and fans.

While it isn’t a trailer, we did get a great look at Arnold and Linda Hamilton who are reprising their roles in Dark Fate. However, Cameron has revealed that the Arnold we see in this new film is completely different to the Terminator we’re use to. Not only will his character be different, but so will his Terminator model.

We also got a look at one of the newest members to join the Terminator Franchise. Gabriel Luna, who some fans may recognize as Ghost Rider in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., is set to play an updated version of the T-1000 who is likely to go head to head with Arnold’s mystery Terminator.
