Supergirl Preview ‘O Brother, Where Art Thou?’
It’s time to meet Lex Luthor, and he’s got a plan to test Kara beyond anything she’s ever experienced.
We’ve heard the name, we know the man, but I never really thought that we would have Lex appeaer on Supergirl. In Monday’s new episode, he and Lena will butt heads over what they think is right, but will ultimately lead to Lex trying to kill millions of people in order to test the “pretender,” Supergirl. With Lex creating a red sun on Earth, Kara’s powers will be effected. I’m sure with some help from Lena, though, the two will be able to put a stop to Lex’s plans. What will this mean for Lena’s power serum, as well? Does Lex know about it and want to use to for himself? There is more to the plan than we know, and probably more to it than Lena and Kara will originally realize.
I wonder how all of this will fit into the season’s main plot with the Children of Liberty. Their whole purpose was to show that aliens are the threat, but then here comes a human trying to kill millions all because he holds a grudge against Superman. When Supergirl ultimately comes out on top, people will have to recognize the good she stands for. Though, last episode we learned that Supergirl has her own immunity from being considered an alien “roach” because she’s a superhero. One of the Sons said as much to her face.
