Josh Radnor Joins Al Pacino & More in Amazon’s Nazi Hunter Drama ‘The Hunt’

Jordan Peele is clearly a brilliant mind behind the camera, but he’s also got an eye for getting some amazing talent in front of the camera as well. The Academy Award winner’s upcoming Amazon series The Hunt, which revolves around Nazi hunters, has just added How I Met Your Mother’s Josh Radnor to the cast. Radnor joins a growing roster which includes Logan Lerman, Catherine Tate, Dylan Baker, Jerrika Hinton, and Al Pacino.

The series, which is an original idea that’s inspired by true events, is set to follow “a group of Nazi hunters living in New York City in 1977.” Amazon handed it a straight to series, 10-episode order back in May. Lerman will be starring as Jonah Heidelbaum, a young man who sets out to find the mysterious intruder who murdered his grandmother. Along the way, he finds himself involved with an organization known as The Hunt who seek justice against Nazi war criminals living in the United States under new identities. Pacino will be playing the Nazi Hunter who mentors Jonah and according to DeadlineRadnor will be playing  Lonny Flash,”a movie star who is a covert member of the group.”

The series is created and written by Moonfall’s David Weil with Nikki Toscano serving as the series’ showrunner and executive producer. Academy Award winner Jordan Peele (Get Out) will be producing the series under his Monkeypaw Productions banner.

In addition to his nine-season stint on How I Met Your Mother, which wrapped in 2014, Radnor has also appeared on Mercy Street and NBC’s short-lived musical drama Rise. His recent film credits include The Seeker and Social Animals.
