‘Twilight’ Alum Kellan Lutz to Lead CBS Spinoff ‘FBI: Most Wanted’

If there’s one thing that prolific executive producer Dick Wolf knows how to do, it’s creating dramas that have ample potential spinoffs. From Law & Order to the Chicago franchise,  there’s always another batch of stories to tell and CBS’ latest series FBI is no different. The freshman series, which was recently picked up for a second season, follows the inner workings of the New York office of the FBI and has since opened up the door for a spinoff called FBI: Most Wanted.

FBI: Most Wanted already has a first season order and is set to follow the division of the FBI tasked with tracking and capturing the notorious criminals on the Most Wanted list. The cast has slowly started to grow with Twilight star Kellan Lutz stepping into one of the leading roles, according to TVLine. Lutz will be playing FBI Agent Crosby, “an Army intelligence veteran and communications whiz who is taken under the wing of team leader Jess Lacroix.” Lacroix will be played by Nip/Tuck alum Julian McMahon. Keisha Castle-Hughes, Alana De La Garza, and Roxy Sternberg have also joined the cast.

Fans can expect to see the backdoor pilot for FBIMost Wanted later this season as an episode of FBI. It will be co-written by Dick Wolf and Rene Balcer.

Lutz is best known for his role in the Twilight franchise where he played Emmett Cullen. Since then he has made his way around both the big and small screens with roles in 2014’s The Legend of Hercules, The Expendables 3, and the upcoming Taraji P. Henson rom-com What Men What. He has also appeared on Lisa Kudrow’s series The Comeback, 90210, and Generation Kill.
