The original Twilight Zone series first premiered in 1959 and ran through 1964. The series became a worldwide phenomenon due to its out-of-this-world storytelling structure. The series has become a classic in television history bringing to life creepy and interesting tales which are endlessly referenced in today’s modern film and television.

The new series has an all-star cast line up including Taissa Farmiga, Ike Barinholtz, Rhea Seehorn, Luke Kirby, John Cho, Allison Tolman, Jacoby Tremblay, Steven Yeun, Sanaa Lathan, Adam Scott, and Kumail Nanjiani, along with host and narrator Peele.

CBS All Access executive Julie McNamara is excited about bringing this classic series to a whole new generation of viewers. She said:

[row]“The original The Twilight Zone bridged science fiction, horror, and fantasy together to explore human nature and provide social commentary in a way that audiences had never seen before. Under the auspices of Jordan Peele, Simon Kinberg, and Marco Ramirez, and with the creative freedom that the CBS All Access platform affords, this is an incredible opportunity to bring today’s audiences a modern reimagining of this iconic series.”[/row]

The Twilight Zone will begin airing on CBS All Access on April 1st.
