Avatar: The Last Airbender is Finally Getting the Funko Pop Treatment

For years, fans have been clamoring for Funko to make Pop figures for the popular Nickelodeon series Avatar: The Last Airbender, and it’s finally happening. Funko announced before Christmas that several of our favorite characters are getting the Pop treatment and will be coming out in February.

The line is massive, with 11 figures announced for the initial wave. There are a lot of characters in the Avatar universe that could be made into Pops, so it’s exciting that we’re going to be getting so many right out of the gate. Makes you think that they definitely have more planned for the future.

Included in the release is the gang, who are all ready to take on the Fire Nation. It’s nice to see that Funko has broken away from the posing of the past and have started to make their pops really dynamic. Aang, Katara, Toph, and Zuko look great mid-bend. We also get the classic pose for Aang on his ball of wind. It would be cool in the future if we could also get on of him on the glider or a Pop ride on Appa (make it happen, Funko). The two Aang variants are Hot Topic exclusives, while Azula will be exclusive to GameStop.

Time to find another blank shelf and prepare your wallets to take a hit when these figures hit stores in February. You can preorder the entire standard line here.
