Sciene fiction novel Hold Back the Stars has landed its own set of stars. The Katie Khan science fiction novel turned film will star Black Panther’s Letitia Wright and Star Wars’ John Boyega.

The script is being dubbed Romeo & Juliet colliding with Gravity. The film will be directed by Mike Cahill, who previously directed ‘Origins’ and two episodes of Nightflyers.

Christy Hall is writing the script, and Shawn Levy’s company 21 Laps will produce.

The book was published in 2017 by Simon & Schuster. It’s centered around a woman and man who are forced to recall their time on a utopian Earth, which includes their past love affair. They re-live memories while trapped in the middle of outer space with 90 minutes of oxygen left.
We can also see Boyega as he reprises the role of Finn in Star Wars Episode IX, directed by J.J. Abrams. He’s also doing voice work for a Watership Down miniseries.
Emmy-nominated Wright was nominated for her part in Black Mirror series, and we will see her reprise her role of Shuri in Avengers 4 in 2019, as well as in the Black Panther sequel.
