Shailene Woodley, Jamie Dornan, Sebastian Stan & Matthew Gray Gubler Cast in Drake Doremus Film

Shailene Woodley (Big Little Lies), Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey, A Private War), Sebastian Stan (Captain America, Avengers: Infinity War) & Matthew Gray Gubler (Criminal Minds) are all set to star in the next film by Drake Doremus.

Like Crazy director, Doremus co-wrote the original screenplay with novelist Jardine Labaire (White Fur). They are partnering with CJ Entertainment for Doremus’ next film.

The company is developing, financing, and producing the untitled film with Doremus.They will present the package at the American Film Market next week.

The film depicts present today Los Angeles. It revolves around a woman named Daphne played by Woodley. She is thirty-something and navigating a year of love and heartbreak. The film unlocks the secrets of her life suddenly, and in intriguing places.

The producer of the film will be Tae-Sung Jeong, CEO of CJ Entertainment, Francis Chung, Doremus, Robert George, Jerry Ko, Fred Lee, Jihyun Ok, and CJ’s Seoul-based director of development is set to oversee the production.

UTA Independent Film Group has taken the initiative to negotiate on behalf of the filmmakers.

Producer Chung had this to say of the project,

“The more time we spend with Drake, the more we realize just how brilliant a storyteller he is, and the confidence talent have in his vision and direction. Shailene, Jamie, Matthew and Sebastian are actors at the top of their game and to see this quartet unite for our film, with Drake at the helm, gives us great confidence that we’ll have something very special to deliver to audiences.”

The project is the Doremus’ second collaboration with Korea’s CJ Entertainment. This summer Doremus signed to direct Salvador Parskowitz written script for Aurora, a romantic drama with a supernatural element.

Zoe, a sci-fi romance starring Ewan McGregor, Léa Seydoux, Rashida Jones and Christina Aguilera is the most recent Doremus film. This year, the film debuted at Tribeca and was picked up by Amazon prime.
