‘Riverdale’ Recap “Chapter 38: As Above, So Below”

Bughead has been hiding out at Dilton’s bunker. They haven’t found a rule book, which is odd and almost cultish. Could the Farm be connected to the game? Jughead gets Ethel to give him the rulebook before she tries to kill herself while Betty goes to a Farm meeting to gather intel. She finds out that her mother knows what Griffins and Gargoyles is.

Archie is sent solitary confinement when he refuses to be the new Mad Dog after the so-called “riot.” Joaquin accepts the offer but is beaten to a pulp in some kind of underground fighting ring. Archie swoops in to save him by joining the fighting team. It’s a good thing that he knows how to punch. He is gifted with Mad Dog’s hand me downs, including a rock hammer. Are they really going to escape?

Veronica’s Speakeasy is ready and during a meeting, Penny Peabody pays Veronica a visit, of course, to make a deal. When Veronica refuses, she sends a care package full of Jingle Jangle just in time for Sheriff Minetta’s inspection. Veronica enlists Toni and Cheryl’s help with the Penny problem. They infiltrate the White Worm to gather evidence of a secret Jingle Jangle lab. Hiram, who wasn’t swayed by Veronica’s shakedown, visits the speakeasy on opening night. The night is a success

FP and Alice find the G & G rulebook and destroy it, but not before copies are placed in every locker at Riverdale High. What are they hiding?

I think it’s weird that the Farm knows about Betty’s past, the body and Chic and act like it’s no big deal. How do Alice and the rest of the Riverdale adults know about G & G? More importantly, when is Archie getting out of jail and when will Hiram go in? Also, can Josie have a solo every episode? I love her voice. This season is mysterious and weird and they weren’t kidding when they said there’s be supernatural elements.
