Enrico Colantoni to Return as Keith Mars for ‘Veronica Mars’ Revival
It wouldn’t be a Veronica Mars party without Papa Mars and now we don’t have to worry! According to TVLine, Eric Colantoni is set to reprise his role as Veronica’s dad, Keith Mars for the upcoming Hulu miniseries. He joins a returning cast including Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars), Jason Dohring (Logan Echolls), Percy Daggs III (Wallace Fennel), Francis Capra (Weevil) and David Starzyk (Richard Casablancas).
Colantoni played Veronica’s very sweet and protective father, Keith throughout the series’ three-season run. He used to be Nepute’s sheriff before becoming a Private Investigator. He allowed Veronica to work at his agency, but would often be upset when she would get dangerously involved in some of his cases. The two always shared an extremely close relationship and the new series wouldn’t have been the same without him!
The revival will consist of 8 episodes with creator Rob Thomas also returning. Here is the official synopsis of the series:
[row]“Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into a mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.”[/row]
There had been rumors that Hulu was looking to revive the cult-favorite crime noir earlier this year but it wasn’t until Bell herself made the announcement on Twitter that things became official.

The Hulu series is set to begin production at the end of October with plans to premiere sometime in 2019! Who else are you hoping will return for the miniseries?
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
