‘The Conners’ First Teaser Looks Ahead to What’s Most Important – Halloween!

The Conners are back in the very first teaser for the upcoming Roseanne spinoff!

The first look at the upcoming new series shows us that not much has changed. It’s still the same old Conner family focusing on the important things in life – planning for Halloween! The original Roseanne series was well-known for providing some epic Halloween episodes and it looks like The Conners will carry on that tradition, albeit without the presence of Roseanne Barr. The teaser gives us the impression that Jackie (played by Laurie Metcalf) and Darlene (played by Sara Gilbert) are planning out the family’s future holidays in the wake of Roseanne Conner’s (Barr) rumored death.

Check out the first teaser for The Conners below.

The synopsis for the series reads as follows:

“After a sudden turn of events, the Conners are forced to face the daily struggles of life in Lanford in a way they never have before. This iconic family – Dan, Jackie, Darlene, Becky, and D.J. – grapples with parenthood, dating, an unexpected pregnancy, financial pressures, aging and in-laws in working-class America. Through it all, the fights, the coupon cutting, the hand-me-downs, the breakdowns – with love, humor, and perseverance, the family prevails.”

The series will star John Goodman (Dan), Laurie Metcalf (Jackie), Sara Gilbert (Darlene), Lecy Goranson (Becky), Michael Fishman (D.J.), Emma Kenney (Harris), Ames McNamara (Mark) and Jayden Rey (Mary) as their beloved Conner characters, with the new and talented addition of Maya Lynne Robinson (Geena). Guest stars include Estelle Parsons as Beverly, James Pickens Jr. as Chuck and Natalie West as Crystal.

Tom Werner executive produce, along with Gilbert, Bruce Helford, Dave Caplan, Bruce Rasmussen, and Tony Hernandez. Helford, Caplan, and Rasmussen are also writers.

The Conners is set to premiere on Tuesday, October 16th at 8 pm.
