‘Hocus Pocus’ Returning to AMC Theaters for Limited Run this October

The Sanderson sisters are back and they are ready to take over the big screen once again this October.

To celebrate the beloved film Hocus Pocus on its 25th anniversary, the film is returning to AMC theaters for a limited run this Halloween season.

Hocus Pocus was released by Disney in 1993 and has become a beloved, nostalgic Halloween classic. The film told the story of three witch sisters, Winifred (Bette Midler), Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Mary (Kathy Najimy) Sanderson who were resurrected after 300 years. The witches seek to take over Salem, Massachusetts using their dark magic and specifically to capture the souls of children in order to recapture and retain their youth. When Max (Omri Katz), his sister Dani (Thora Birch) and Allison (Vinessa Shaw) challenge the truth of an urban legend, the three kids must do everything they can to stop the Sanderson sisters.

The film has truly become a staple of Halloween and is shown multiple times on television during the course of the Halloween season, and now fans can enjoy the film as it was meant to be seen, on the big screen!

AMC viewings of Hocus Pocus will be held at select theaters nationwide starting on October 26th through Halloween, October 31st. For a full list of participating theaters, visit AMCtheaters.com.

In addition to returning to theaters to celebrate the film’s anniversary, Hocus Pocus is also a part of Freeform’s 31 days of Halloween, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to see the film.
