Arrowverse: Grant Gustin Shares His Excitement for This Year’s Crossover Event

The 2018 Arrowverse crossover event is shaping up to be another fantastic couple hours of television with the franchise’s first dive into Gotham City. Though it was revealed Legends of Tomorrow would be bowing out of the crossover this year, we’ve learned the reason for doing so is to give more time to developing some new characters. Batwoman will be the focus of the year’s event, but that’s not the only big name to grace the screen. Tyler Hoechlin will reprise his role as Superman, which is something Grant Gustin is incredibly excited for.

In a recent interview, Gustin revealed that Flash and Superman will share scenes.

“To see Flash and Superman together and to be one of the guys in the suits is something I’m definitely pretty excited about.”

Gustin added that he never thought something like this would happen, saying that this caliber of team-up is usually reserved for feature films. “But I feel like the Arrowverse has kind of been changing that stigma with the whole TV is the lesser medium,” he said. “So, it is cool to see us kind of rise to even another level and bring all of us together for these crossovers. It’s pretty epic.”

The three-night crossover will find Green Arrow, Flash, and Supergirl called away to Gotham City in order to help Batwoman with a problem at Arkham Asylum. The event currently doesn’t have a title, but it will likely have something to do with the rise of Batwoman, who will be poised to star in her won TV show.

The crossover event kicks off Sunday, December 9th, with The Flash, continuing Monday, December 10th, with Arrow, and concluding Tuesday, December 11th, on Supergirl.
