Arrowverse: LOST Alum Jeremy Davies Joins Crossover
More and more information is being learned about this year’s Arrowverse crossover event, with the newest bit of knowledge coming from the casting of LOST alum Jeremy Davies (Daniel Farraday) as Dr. John Deegan, who works at Arkham Asylum.
It’s been known that the crossover would introduce us to the Arrowverse’s version of Gotham City and incorporate Batwoman, but it was unclear how much Bat-lore we would actually get. Bringing in Arkham Asylum is about as big as you get. As for Deegan, he makes an appearance in Batman #4 and goes by the name “Jack of Diamonds.” He is recruited by the Joker, but is killed off in that single appearance. The character is described as maybe being “crazier than the inmates he treats,” which sounds similar to Arkham Asylum director Hugo Strange. His actions will be the reason Green Arrow, Flash, and Supergirl make the trip to Gotham City, but it is unclear if he will be the main antagonist of the event.
Davies’ casting comes on the heals of Cassandra Amell joining the crossover as Nora Fries, wife of villainous Mr. Freeze (and real-life wife of Stephen Amell). It was also recently announced that the event has found its Lois Lane in Grimm‘s Elizabeth Tulloch, who will appear alongside Tyler Hoechlin’s Clark Kent/Superman. The crossover will feature Ruby Rose as Katherine Kane/Batwoman, and potentially set her up for her own TV show.
The crossover event kicks off Sunday, December 9th, with The Flash, continuing Monday, December 10th, with Arrow, and concluding Tuesday, December 11th, on Supergirl.
