Two weeks ago, production officially kicked off for ABC’s new and upcoming Roseanne spinoff series The Conners. Since then, the network has revealed a first photo of the cast at their very first table read as well as several nostalgic teasers which ask the imperative questions – “What’s next?”
On Wednesday, ABC revealed the very first episodic photos from the new series, and we’re feeling all kinds of emotions already! There are four new series photos, so far, but each one evokes a range of emotions, from the adorable picture of Dan (played by John Goodman) and Mark (played by Ames McNamara) raising their drinks and smiling in the kitchen to what appears to be a highly emotional, possibly devastating moment featuring Darlene (Sara Gilbert), Becky (Lecy Goranson), Dan (Goodman) and Jackie (Laure Metcalf). Is that, perhaps, the moment the family learns the fate of their matriarch Roseanne Conner?
Roseanne’s fate is something that will surely be revealed in the premiere episode which is titled Keep On Truckin’. The synopsis for the premiere is simple, and yet at the same time, quite ominous. The synopsis reads, “A sudden turn of events forces the Conners to face the daily struggles of life in Lanford in a way they never have before.”

Previously, ABC had given a longer description of the upcoming new comedy series which reads as follows:
The series will star John Goodman (Dan), Laurie Metcalf (Jackie), Sara Gilbert (Darlene), Lecy Goranson (Becky), and Michael Fishman (D.J.) all reprising their beloved character roles from the original Roseanne series. Tom Werner will executive produce, along with Gilbert, Bruce Helford, Dave Caplan, Bruce Rasmussen, and Tony Hernandez. Helford, Caplan, and Rasmussen are also writers.
The Conners is set to premiere on Tuesday, October 16th at 8 pm.
