Bond 25, the latest in the long running franchise is supposed to begin filming in December with leading man, Daniel Craig. This will be Daniel Craig’s fifth time stepping into James Bond’s suit and perhaps his last.
Danny Boyle, who has been a longtime fan of 007, had brought in his screenwriter for T2 Trainspotting, John Hodge to write this screenplay as well, which is now complete. He also directed the 2012 London Olympics, in which he included bits from Bond in the show. He is known also for Slumdog Millionaire and 127 Hours. Apparently, Boyle was clashing with the producers and cast of the film, and is now out. His leave gives the producers and crew just 4 months to find a replacement.
This would have been Boyle’s first Bond film. Sam Mendes directed the past two films, Spectre and Skyfall.
Bond 25 is still set for a November 8th, 2019 release with distribution domestically by MGM and Eon Productions, and internationally by Universal.
