Chris Hardwick’s Heartfelt Return to ‘Talking Dead’.
Last night Chris Hardwick made an emotional return to AMC’s Talking Dead after weeks of battling abuse allegations by ex-girlfriend Chloe Dykstra. While making no specific mention to his recent personal turmoil, Mr. Hardwick wore his heart on his sleeve as he showed appreciation for all the love and support he has received while clearing his name.
“I really just want to take a minute and I want to say that I’m so appreciative to be standing here right now, and I want to thank you, The Walking Dead community, for all your support over these past couple months. This show is not just a job to me, this is a vital part of my life, this has been a sanctuary these last seven years we’ve been here,” he said through tears at the top of the episode. – Source: Entertainment Weekly
After thanking the fans, Chris went on to share his enthusiasm and passion for The Walking Dead.
“This is what this is, a community, and we’re on the precipice of a lot of changes on both Walking Dead shows in the coming weeks and months, and I am so looking forward to going on that journey with you. Guest Yvette Nicole Brown also received some special attention from Mr. Hardwick for her hard work in filling the empty shoes of the well-loved host. Not only did Ms. Brown take on hosting Hardwick’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con, she also served as temporary Talking Dead host for The Walking Dead Season Nine Preview Special.
