Peter Luis Zimmerman is stepping aboard the Jungle Cruise! The Walking Dead alum has secured himself a seat on the Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt film inspired by the popular Disney attraction. Zimmerman’s role is currently being kept under wraps, but he joins an all-star cast that also includes Jesse Plemons, Paul Giamatti, Edgar Ramirez, and Jack Whitehall.
Zimmerman has been playing Eduardo on The Walking Dead since season 6 for a total of 16 episodes thus far. He holds down the fort at the Hilltop under the leadership of Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan). He also appeared in 2016’s Big Bad and has guest-starred on series such as Necessary Roughness, Banshee, and The Game.
Johnson and Blunt welcomed fans to their first day of production earlier this week in a fun video that shared a first look at their characters. You can check that out below!

Jungle Cruise will revolve around the Disney attraction that first opened in Disneyland in 1955. Today, Disney parks all over the world take riders on a scenic boat tour of the most exotic and exciting rivers across Asia, Africa, and South America. Aside from Blunt and Johnson’s character names of Frank and Lily, specific details surrounding the plot are still very much under wraps, but Johnson did hint to EW that he would be playing the captain of a boat traveling down the Amazon river.
The Walking Dead returns to AMC this Fall where Zimmerman would most likely reprise his Eduardo should he still be a guest star come season 9. Fans of The Walking Dead can also be on the lookout for Zimmerman at Walker Stalker Con Orlando the weekend of August 11th!
