Check out the First Trailer & Poster for Jonah Hill’s ‘Mid90s’

A24 have unveiled the first trailer and promotional poster for Jonah Hill’s directorial debut Mid90s.

The film, additionally written by The Wolf of Wall Street actor, follows Stevie (Sunny Suljic) a thirteen-year-old growing up in LA in the Nineties. The teen, who is trying to escape from a difficult home life with his abusive brother (Lucas Hedges), finds a safe haven with a group of skateboarders where he inhabits a new life of facing the dangers that occur on the streets.

Last July it was announced that Katherine Waterston (Fantastic Beasts, Alien: Covenant) had replaced Michelle Williams (Manchester by the Sea, The Greatest Showman) as the female lead in the upcoming drama. Waterson will portray Stevie’s struggling co-dependent single mother, who is forced to watch her son learn life lessons about drugs, class and abusive relationships.

Mid90s also stars Jerrod Carmichael, Kasey Elise, Na-Kel Smith, Olan Prenatt and Alexa Demie.

The film is currently scheduled to hit theatres on October 19 in the US.
