SDCC 2018: ‘Archer’ is Heading to Space in Season 10
Hold on tight, everyone! The dysfunctional cast of characters on Archer will be heading into space for their upcoming tenth season! The setting for the upcoming season was confirmed by executive producer Casey Willis during the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel on Friday evening
According to the Archer official Twitter account, Willis told the panel room, “We’re going to space…everyone will be there.” Willis then went into a full description of the upcoming season 10 characters which will include space captain Sterling Archer, a bounty hunter named Barry Six, Pam as an alien and the return of the most bizarre and most loved character on the series, Krieger! It seems the season is going to be titled Archer: 1999! We are loving this concept so far. Check out Willis’ announcement in the video below.

Season nine titled Archer: Danger Island saw the Archer characters reimagined in a brand new setting once more. Danger Island was the latest shake-up from creator Adam Reed who has been taking fans on a thematic journey through different versions of the show over the past several seasons including Vice and Dreamland.
At the end of the ninth season, we last see Sterling Archer waking from a comatose state and realizing that he is floating through outer space. How the rest of the gang gets there, we’ll just have to wait for season ten to find that out, however, Willis does reveal that Archer Reed has an ultimate plan in mind for these different themed seasons. Willis said, “Adam has had a plan going since season seven. It’s all leading somewhere and I think everyone is going to be really excited to see where it goes.”

Throughout the rest of the panel, the cast answered questions from the audience and just had a grand ol’ time. We’d be remiss if we didn’t point out quite possibly the best part of the entire Archer panel. Series star Lucky Yates spent the entire day at San Diego Comic-Con dressed as his Archer: Danger Island parrot character Crackers!

In addition to Willis, the Archer panel also featured art director and producer Chad Hurd and the cast including H. Jon Benjamin, Jessica Walter, Chris Parnell, Amber Nash, and Lucky Yates.
